PROCLAMATION.
I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by "The Canterbury Trespass of Cattle Ordinance, 1872," and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby proclaim and declare that the yard erected by the Templeton Road Board, and the paddock adjoining it, partly on Reserve No. 329 (in red), and partly on Reserve No. 1378 (in red), at Yaldhurst, shall be deemed and taken to be a Public Pound within the meaning of the above recited Ordinance from and after Saturday, the 30th day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two; and I do hereby appoint
RICHARD HAWKINS
to be Poundkeeper at the said Pound.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 18th day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

NOTICE.
THE Partnership hitherto existing between Charles Perring and George Babington Parker, at Sherwood, Makikihi, as Sheep Farmers, was dissolved on the 1st of November, 1872, by mutual consent.

IT is hereby notified that the Superintendent directs that a reserve be made temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, for educational purposes, viz. —
No. 1400 (in red).—One thousand eight hundred and eighteen acres (more or less), situate in the Timaru District, commencing at the north-west corner of Reserve No. 905 (in red); thence north-westerly, following the continuation of the road forming the northern boundary of the said reserve a distance of 13 chains 28 links to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of Reserve No. 939 (in red); thence south-westerly, following the latter road to its junction with the road and Drain Reserve; thence south-easterly, following the said road and Drain Reserve to the south-west corner of section 13,898; thence north-easterly, following the north-west boundary of that section 42 chains 19 links; thence north-westerly, following the south-west boundary of section 13,899 a distance of 3 chains, and north-easterly the north-western boundary of the same section a line in continuation thereof, and also the north-west boundary of section 13,900, a distance altogether of 58 chains; thence north-westerly, following the south-west boundary of Reserve No. 913 (in red), and a line in continuation thereof to the south-eastern boundary of section 13,904; thence south-westerly, following the south-eastern boundary of section No. 13,904 to its southern corner; thence northerly, following the western boundary thereof 27 chains 18 links to the southern boundary of Reserve No. 905 (in red) before mentioned, and from thence returning along the southern and western boundaries of that reserve to the commencing point, subject nevertheless to the continuation of the road forming the south-eastern boundary of section 13,904, and also to the road separating sections 13,899 and 13,900, passing through the above described land for which roads allowance has been made in the acreage.

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS at a public meeting of persons duly qualified to vote in the Rakaia District, held on Tuesday, the 15th day of October, 1872, in Mr. Barker’s Woolshed, it was declared by the votes of the majority of the persons present that they were willing that the District described in the Schedule hereto should be formed into an Educational District:
Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, do hereby proclaim the said District to be an Educational District within the meaning of "The Education Ordinance, 1871."
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 18th day of November, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

SCHEDULE.
RAKAIA DISTRICT.
Commencing at the south-east corner of section 4914; thence westerly along the road forming the southern boundaries of section 6526, reserve 965, sections 12,731, 10,737, and 10,368, to the river Rakaia; thence southerly along the said river to the sea beach; thence along the sea beach to the mouth of the Tentburn; and thence northerly up the Tentburn to the starting point.
