Now, therefore, I, William Rolleston,
Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury,
in pursuance of the powers vested in
me, and by and with the advice and consent
of the Executive Council, do hereby declare
an uniform rate of Threepence in the £ to
be levialbe within the said district, under
the provisions of the seventeenth section of
The Education Ordinance, 1871,
Amendment Ordinance, 1872, No. 2; and
I do hereby appoint EDWARD PILBROW
as the person to whom the said rate shall be
paid.
Given under my hand at Christchurch,
this 29th day of October, one
thousand eight hundred and
seventy-two.

His Honor the Superintendent directs
it to be notified that he has made
the following Reserve, temporarily, under
the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regu-
lations, viz.—
No. 1389 (in red)—Five acres (more or
less), situate in the Oxford District,
having five chains frontage to the
road forming the south-western
boundary of section 14,769, and ex-
tending north-easterly a distance of
ten chains in a rectangular block,
south-east of and adjoining the sec-
tion above-mentioned—For a gravel
pit.
