No. 1827; in red.—Five hundred acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton district, bounded on the south-eastward by the Long Beach Road; on the south-westward by sections 18814 and 18815; on the north-eastward by sections 13811 and 13844; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the south-western boundary of the latter section, so as to contain the above quantity.
No. 1328, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Christchurch district, bounded on the south-westward by the Coal Tramway Reserve; on the eastward by the road forming the western boundary of section 9774; on the north-eastward by a line parallel to and 40 chains distant from the south-western boundary; and on the north-westward by a line at right angles to the Coal Tramway Reserve before-mentioned, so as to contain the above quantity.
No. 1329, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Upper Christchurch district, bounded on the south-westward by the Coal Tramway Reserve; on the north-eastward by pre-emptive right No. 149; on the eastward by the road on the western side of sections 10843 and 10233; and on the north-west ward by a line at right angles to the south-western boundary, so as to contain the above quantity.

CHRISTCHURCH CITY COUNCIL.
THE CITY COUNCIL of Christchurch hereby give notice that it is their intention to consider a proposition to BORROW the sum of £8000 (eight thousand pounds), such amount being required to meet the expenses of the works in connection with the drainage of the city, which will be undertaken during the present year. The said amount to be raised on debentures bearing interest at 6 per cent. per annum, issued for a term of not more than fifty years or less than ten, on the security of a special rate of 2d. in the £ on the rateable property in the city, which rate will provide the said interest and a sinking fund as by the City of Christchurch Loan Act 1871 required. The interest will be payable half yearly, and the principal at the time specified on the debenture, at the office of the City Council, Christchurch.
