easterly following the south-western boundaries of sections 10,777 and 10,778 and the south-eastern boundary of the latter section to the North Rakaia Road; thence south-easterly following the said road to Reserve No. 1185, in red; thence following the north-west and south-west boundaries of that reserve, and also the southern and south-east boundaries of section 10,779 to the afore-said road; thence south-easterly following the same to section 12,832; thence following the north-west and south-west boundaries of that section to the south-west boundary of section 13,511 to the north-west boundary of section 10,368; thence following the north-west and south-west boundaries of the last-mentioned section to the road forming the south-east boundary thereof; thence south-westerly following that road to the River Rakaia; thence north-westerly following the northern bank of that river to a point in line with the south-eastern boundary of the H.P.R. before-mentioned; and from thence returning along said line and boundary to the commencing point—For the purposes of protective works in connection with the River Rakaia.
No. 1316, in red.—All that tract of land three chains wide, the centre line of which commences on the southern bank of the River Waihao, about twenty-seven chains south-west of Trigonometrical Station No. 3, and extending in a southerly direction to the northern bank of the River Waitangi, where it is intersected by the eastern side of the Telegraph Reserve 953 (in red), save and except the land purchased and reserved to date—For the Southern Line of Railway.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, for the Endowment of the New Zealand University, viz.:
No. 1324, in red.—Eighty-six acres (more or less), situate in the Ellesmere district, commencing at the junction of the North Rakaia and Taumutu Junction Road with the road forming the south-eastern boundary of section 12,885; thence north-easterly following the latter road to the south-western boundary of section 10,739; thence south-easterly following that boundary a distance of forty-three chains ninety-four links to the road first-mentioned; and from thence returning along the same to the commencing point—For the purposes of protective works in connection with the River Rakaia.
No. 1288, in red.—234 acres (more or less), situate in the Malvern district, bounded on the eastward by the road forming the western boundary of section 12,872; on the northward by the road forming the northern boundary of that section and the southern boundary of section 12,778; and on the southward by the river Wakaepa—For road, tramway, and other purposes of the Provincial Government.
No. 1289, in red.—Two hundred and seventy acres (more or less), situate in the Malvern district, bounded on the northward by the River Wakaepa; on the eastward by the said river; on the westward by section 3716; and on the southward by a line parallel to and fifteen chains distant on the average from the northern boundary—For road, tramway, and other purposes of the Provincial Government.
No. 1316, in red.—All that tract of land three chains wide, as aforesaid...
No. 1324, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, bounded on the eastward by reserve No. 1125 (in red); on the southward by the road forming the northern boundary of section 12605; on the northward by a line parallel to and 41 chains distant from the northern boundary of that section; and on the westward by a line at right angles to the last described boundary, so as to contain the above quantity.
No. 1325, in red.—Two hundred and fifty acres, more or less, situate in the Waitangi district, bounded on the eastward by reserve No. 1125 (in red); on the southward by the road forming part of the southern boundary of said reserve; on the northward by sections 12605, 18724, and the road forming the northern boundary of these sections; and on the westward by section 18724, and also by a straight line at right angles to the southern boundary of section 12605, so as to include the above quantity.
No. 1326, in red.—Five hundred acres more or less, situate in the Ashley district, bounded on the south-westward by the Garry River Road; on the south-eastward by sections 10881, H.P.R., and I.P.R.C. on run No. 75, and also by a straight line drawn from the westernmost corner of the last-mentioned pre-emptive right to the aforesaid Garry River Road, which it meets at a right angle on the northeastward by a line parallel to the south-west boundary drawn from the westernmost corner of the aforesaid...
