I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me by “The Cemetery Reserves Management Ordinance, 1870,” and with the advice of the Executive Council, do hereby appoint the undermentioned persons to be Managers of the Cemetery, situate on Reserve No. 46, as shown on the Map of the Chief Surveyor of the said Province, setting out and describing the Town of Lyttelton:—

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS by “The Highway Boards Empowering Act, 1871,” it is provided that the Superintendent of any Province, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, may from time to time by Proclamation declare that any or all of the Parts of this Act, numbered two, three, four, five, six, and seven shall extend and apply to any Highway District constituted or to be constituted by or under any Provincial Act heretofore or hereafter to be passed, or to the inhabitants, ratepayers, or governing body of any such district as the case may require; and upon such Proclamation the part or parts therein specified shall be in force in and as to such Highway District, or with regard to the inhabitants, ratepayers, or governing body of such district as the case may require.

Now, therefore, I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers so vested in me, do hereby upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, and by and with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, declare that from and after Monday, the first day of July, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two, the Parts of the said Act, numbered two, three, five, and six shall extend and apply to all the Road Districts constituted under “The Canterbury Roads Ordinance, 1872,” and to the inhabitants, ratepayers, and governing body of each such district; and that the Part of the said Act numbered four shall extend and apply to the following Road Districts; that is to say the Kowai, the Mandeville and Rangiora, the Avon, the Riccarton, the Heathcote, the Spreydon, the Akaroa and Wainui, the Temuka, the Geraldine, the Levels, the Waimate, the Lincoln, and the Springs.
