His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that in pursuance of the powers vested in him by ‘The Education Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1872, No. 2,’ he has appointed

WILLIAM GRAY

as the person to whom the annual sum payable under clause 64 of ‘The Education Ordinance, 1871,’ shall be paid for the Governor’s Bay District. The said sum shall be payable at Mr. Gray’s residence, Governor’s Bay, on or before Monday, the 22nd day of July, 1872.

PROCLAMATION.

WHEREAS the Members of the Southbridge District School Committee have resigned. Now, therefore, I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by the 38th clause of ‘The Education Ordinance, 1871,’ and on the recommendation of the Board of Education do hereby declare that no School Committee exists in the said District, and I hereby call a meeting of persons qualified to vote for the election of a new Committee for the said District, at the Schoolhouse, Southbridge, on Wednesday, the 10th July next, at the hour of 12 noon.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 27th day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.

PROCLAMATION.

WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me by ‘The Education Ordinance, 1871, Amendment Ordinance, 1872, No. 2,’ do hereby with the advice and consent of the Executive Council, and on the recommendation of the Board of Education, abolish the Lyttelton Educational District.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 27th day of June, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-two.
