PROCLAMATION.

I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance and exercise of the powers vested in me under “The Education Ordinance, 1871,” and upon the recommendation of the Board of Education, do hereby proclaim and declare that the District described in the Schedule hereto shall be an Educational District under the provisions of the said Ordinance.

Given at Christchurch, this first day of December, one thousand eight hundred and seventy-one.

SCHEDULE.

HAREWOOD ROAD DISTRICT.

Commencing at the north-eastern corner of section 5586; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that section and along the eastern boundaries of sections 4957, 3161, 6151, and 277 to the road to the south of the latter section; thence easterly along the said road to the road to the west of section 902; thence southerly along the latter road to the Harewood road by Papanui; thence easterly along the latter road to the road to the east of section 880; thence southerly along the latter road to the Fendall Town road; thence northwesterly along the latter road to the Prebbleton and Kaiapoi Junction road; thence southerly along the latter road to the road to the south of section 1725; thence westerly along the latter road to the road to the west of section 5523; thence northerly along the latter road to the Harewood road by Papanui; thence westerly along the latter road to the western boundary of section 6347; thence northerly along the said boundary to the river Waimakariri; and thence easterly along the said river to the starting point.
