Southbridge District.

Bounded on the north by the Leeston District
to the junction of the Taumutu
and Bridge’s road with Friday’s
road, thence in a straight line through
Trig. Pole I to the River Rakaia; on
the west by the said river; on the
southward by the overflow channel
running by Trig. Pole 15 to Jollie’s
brook; thence by a straight line to the
western corner of section 5969; on
the eastward by the road forming the
north-west boundary of section 5969
to the road on the south-west side of
section 5866; thence by a straight
line to the southern corner of section
7634; and from thence following the
road forming the eastern boundary of
that section and the continuation of
that road to the Leeston District
above mentioned.

South Selwyn District.

Commencing at the point where the Elles-
mere and Lincoln road crosses the
River Selwyn; thence south-westerly
along such road to the southern corner
of section 6046; thence north-
westerly along the southern bound-
aries of sections 6046, 6137, 5851,
7243, 7942, and in a straight line from
the western corner of the latter section
to the eastern corner of section
8481; thence north-westerly along
the road between sections 8431 and
9013, to its junction with the road
between sections 9933 and 10577;
thence north-westerly along this latter
road to its junction with the road
between sections 9580 and 9597;
thence westerly along this latter road
to its junction with the Selwyn and
Rakaia road; thence north-easterly
along this latter road to the point
where it crosses the River Selwyn;
thence following the course of the
river to the starting point.

Springston District.

Commencing at the mouth of the L 1
river; thence following up that river
north-easterly to the western boun-
dary of the Lincoln District; thence
northerly along that boundary to the
junction of Shend’s road with the
Lincoln and Coal Tramway road;
thence along this latter road to its
junction with Weeden and Springs
road, and along the latter road to its
junction with the road to Selwyn;
thence south-westerly along this latter
road to its junction with the Swamp
road; thence southerly along that
road to the River Selwyn; thence
following the course of that river to
Lake Ellesmere, and following the
shores of the lake to the starting
point.

Stoke District.

Starting from a point on the River Ashley
due north of the north-western corner
of section 3245; thence in a straight
line to such corner; thence southerly
along the western boundary of that
section and of section 3195, and
easterly along the southern boundary
of the latter section to the north-
western corner of section 2991;
thence southerly along the western
boundary of the latter section, and
easterly along its southern boundary
to the road lying to the east of such
section; thence southerly along such
road to the River Cust; thence
westerly along such river to the road
to the south of section 6989; thence
westerly along such road to the
south-eastern corner of such section;
thence northerly along the eastern
boundary of such section to the road
to the north of such section; thence
westerly along such road to the road
to the east of section 9461; thence
northerly along such road to the
south-eastern corner of section 7258;
thence westerly along the southern
boundary of this section and of
sections 7999, 7095, 7673, and 7674
to the road to the west of this latter
section; thence northerly along such
road and a straight line in continua-
tion thereof due north to the River
Ashley, and easterly along such river
to the starting point.

Templeton District.

Commencing at the intersection of the
south-western side of the old river
bed by the road north-west of section
1768; following north-easterly along
the said road to another road on the
west side of section 4447; following
northerly along that road and the
western boundaries of sections 1305
and 1490 to section 1155; following
south-easterly and north-easterly
along the south-western and south-
eastern boundaries of that section to
the Harewood road by Riccarton;
following westerly along that road
and Bealey’s road to the road on the
south-west side of section 5835;
following southerly along that road
to the north-west boundary of the
Broadfield Educational District, and
following along that boundary and
the boundary of the Prebbleton
Educational District to the commencing
point.
