KNOW All Men By These Presents |
that I, CROFT AUGUSTUS MARSACK,
of Christchurch, in the Province of Canterbury,
in New Zealand, Gentleman, being
seized in fee simple of that part of Rural
Section numbered 285 on the Map of the
Chief Surveyor of the said Province of
Canterbury, setting out and describing the
rural land in the Christchurch district
thereof, commencing at a point being the
south-east corner of Rural Section 79;
continuing thence westerly along the southern
boundary of the said section 79 a distance
of thirty-nine chains thirty-five links; thence
at a right angle southerly a distance of
forty links; thence again at a right angle
easterly a distance of thirty-nine chains
thirty-five links; thence at a right angle
northerly a distance of forty links to the
commencing point, and delineated and
coloured brown in the plan drawn hereon,
for valuable consideration, do hereby dedicate the said land to the Public, to the intent
that the same may for ever hereafter be
used, and be a Public Highway to all intents
and purposes.
In testimony whereof I have hereunto
set my hand and seal, this 16th
day of February, one thousand
eight hundred and seventy-one.
