The various compartments were very
clean and in good order.
Provisions of every description were re-
ported good, and were stated to have been
served out regularly.

The supply of water was sufficient and
good, although (as in the case of the
"Monarch") the condenser (Graveleyโ€™s)
had not worked satisfactorily during a por-
tion of the passage out.

The Immigrants, without exception, spoke
gratefully of the attention they had received
during the voyage from the Captain, Sur-
geon, and Officers of the Ship.

The Matron appears to have performed
her duties to the best of her abilities, and
the cleanliness and perceptible order in the
Single Womenโ€™s compartment reflected great
credit on all concerned.

I beg to recommend the payment of all
gratuities, and the further employment of
the Surgeon Superintendent, should he
desire it.

FRED. D. GIBSON,
Immigration Commissioner.
