to be a Commissioner of the Waste Lands Board, in the room of Edward Jollie, Esq., resigned.

SHIP “MEROPE.”
HAVING inspected the ship “Merope” upon her arrival, I have much pleasure in giving a favourable report in every respect upon the arrangements for the accommodation of the Immigrants on board. The vessel is admirably adapted for carrying passengers, having lofty and well-ventilated between decks.
