The fares chargeable at the said Ferry shall be as follows:-

The said fares shall be payable to the said William White, or his servants.

I, WILLIAM WHITE, in pursuance of a Proclamation by the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, dated the 21st day of October, 1870, authorising me in that behalf, have established a Ferry across the River Rakaia, at the point named in the said Proclamation.

PROCLAMATION.

I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance and exercise of the powers delegated to me under "The Bridges and Ferries Act, 1868," and "The Bridges and Ferries Act 1868, Amendment Act, 1869," do hereby proclaim the Ferry established by William White across the River Rakaia in the said Province, to be a Public Ferry.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this 22nd day of October, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.
