PROVINCE OF CANTERBURY.
Vol. XVII. WEDNESDAY, FEBRUARY 9, 1870. No. 5
PROCLAMATION.
I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, do hereby appoint the undermentioned Quarantine Station for the Port of Akaroa, viz. :
All that portion of land comprising sixty-four acres, more or less, being General Government Reserve No. 77A, situate in Akaroa, Banks Peninsula; bounded on the north-westward by Section 1897, on the northward by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of that section, on the westward and southward by High water mark, and on the south-eastward by the north-western boundary of Section 2830 and a line in continuation thereof.
Also, all that portion of the Harbour contained within a circle having a radius of three quarters of a mile from the Beach frontage of Reserve 77A.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this fourth day of February, one thousand eight hundred and seventy.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily under the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations for Road purposes, viz. :
No. 1245 IN RED.—Eighteen acres three roods, more or less, situate in Pigeon Bay, Banks Peninsula; bounded on the northward by the New Pigeon Bay and Akaroa Road and also by Section, No. 10146; on the westward by the said section; on the eastward by Section 10931; on the southward by Section 9029 and by the road passing through the same.
No. 1246 IN RED.—Sixteen acres, more or less, situate at the Head of the Bay, Akaroa; bounded on the north-ward by Section 11459 and a line in continuation of the southern boundary thereof; on the westward by the road forming the western boundary of that section; on the southward by Section 10445; and on the eastward by the New Akaroa Road.
