river Waipara, having frontage to the North Road, and extending southerly a distance on the average of ten chains east of and adjoining section No. 2731.

No. 1258 (in red).—Ten acres, more or less, situate at Te Waranui, Little River; having frontage to the Little River Road, and extending northerly a distance on the average of ten chains east of and adjoining sections Nos. 1556 and 1925.

No. 1259 (in red).—Ten acres, more or less, situate between Little River and Akaroa, on the top of the hill at Barry’s Saddle; bounded on the northward by the road south of section 18509; on the eastward and southward by Townsend’s Little River Road; and on the westward by a line drawn at right angles to the northern boundary of the aforesaid section, so as to contain the above quantity.

No. 1260 (in red).—Four acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District, being part of the Town Reserve No. 174 (in red), on the south bank of the river Rakaia; bounded on the southward by the South Rakaia Road; on the northward by Reserve for Telegraph Office and other General Government purposes; on the south-eastward by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of section 6127; and on the westward by the South Road.

No. 1261 (in red).—Ninety-eight acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District; bounded on the north-westward by the Road and Railway Reserve; on the south-westward by section No. 5800; on the southward by Reserve 1120 (in red); on the north-eastward by a line in continuation of the north-eastern boundary of section 4109; and on the south-eastward by a line parallel to and seventy chains distant from the north-west boundary.

No. 1262 (in red).—Thirteen acres, more or less, situate in the Ashburton District, near the River Hinds; bounded on the north-westward by the road and Railway Reserve; on the north-eastward by section 4391; on the south-westward by the road forming the south-western boundary of section 14069; and on the south-eastward by a line in continuation of the south-eastern boundary of the before mentioned section 4391.

No. 1263 (in red).—Four hundred and twenty-four acres, more or less, situate in the Timaru District; bounded on the northward by the road forming the northern boundary of section 12276; on the eastward by that section and sections 6667 and 9116; on the southward by Pig Hunting Creek and sections 6667 and 9116; and on the westward by a line parallel to the western boundary of the aforesaid section 12276, so as to contain the above quantity.

No. 1264 (in red).—Twenty acres, more or less, being a square block of land, situate at Burke’s Pass, in the flat east of Burgess’ Accommodation House.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserve, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, for uses of the Provincial Government, and for other public purposes, viz.:—

No. 1265 (in red).—One acre and five perches, more or less, situate at Aylmer’s Hill, Banks Peninsula; bounded on the northward by section 1752, and on the eastward and westward by roads forming respectively the eastern and western boundaries of that section; subject, nevertheless, to the continuation of the proposed road passing through the before mentioned section 1752.
