SCHEDULE.
Pleasant Point Educational District.
Commencing at the point where the north-eastern corner of section 11530 touches the River Opihi; thence southerly along the eastern boundary of that section, and sections 10129, 10180, and 11234, to the south eastern corner of the latter section; thence in a straight line to the north-eastern corner of section 12912, and southerly along the eastern boundary of that section and section 12916; thence westerly, along the southern boundary of the latter section to the road on the west of such section; thence south-easterly along such road and the road to the north-east of section 5476 to the road to the east of section 8848; thence south-westerly along such road to the south-eastern corner of the latter section; thence in a straight line to the southernmost corner of section 13553; thence along its south-western boundary to its westernmost corner; thence in a straight line to trig station 120, and a line in continuation of the same straight line to the River Opihi; and thence easterly along the River Opihi to the starting point.
PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance of the Superintendent and Provincial Council of the Province of Canterbury, intituled “The Education Ordinance, 1864,” it is, among other things, enacted that whenever the Board of Education shall call by advertisement a public meeting of owners and occupiers of land and householders in any district, and such meeting shall declare by the votes of the majority of the persons present (being such owners and occupiers of land and householders as aforesaid), that they are willing that the said district be formed into an Educational District under the provisions of the said Ordinance, and shall declare their willingness to provide the proportion of the annual expenses of an Educational District: the Superintendent shall, as soon as conveniently may be, by Proclamation in the Provincial Government Gazette, declare such district to be an Educational District under the said Ordinance, and such district shall thereupon become an Educational District accordingly:
And whereas, at a meeting duly called as aforesaid, and held at Bailey’s Accommodation House, West Coast Road, on Thursday, the third day of March, one thousand eight hundred and seventy, the owners and occupiers of land and householders in the district specified in the schedule hereunto annexed, did by the votes of the majority there present declare that they were willing that the said district should be formed into an Educational District, and did further declare their willingness to provide the proportion of the annual expenses of an Educational District as provided in the said Ordinance:

Starting from the point where the road to the south-east of section 5150 touches the River Waimakariri, thence south-westerly along such road to the River Hawkins, thence in a straight line to the south-east corner of section 10759; thence by the southern boundary of this section and of sections 10758, 10914, 10124, to the south-western corner of the latter section, thence in a straight line to the south-eastern corner of Dalethorpe pre-emptive right; thence along its south-western boundary to its south-western corner, thence in a straight line to the easternmost corner of section 7776H.P.; thence along the road to the north-east of that section to the River Kowai; thence north-westerly along such river to the eastern boundary of run 190, thence along such boundary and the eastern boundaries of runs 210 and 277 to the River Waimakariri; thence south-easterly along such river to the starting point.
