No. 1233, in red.—Thirty-five acres, more or less, situate in Pigeon Bay, bounded on the south-westward by the Purau and Akaroa road; on the south-eastward by section 13,645; on the north-eastward by section 18,644; and on the north-westward by a line parallel to the south-eastern boundary, so as to contain the above quantity: subject to roads.

No. 1234, in red.—Sixty acres, more or less, situate in Pigeon Bay, B. P., bounded on the westward by section No. 5220; on the northward by sections 6266 and 5840; on the southward by sections 10,909 and 10,906; and on the eastward by a line in continuation of the eastern boundary of the aforesaid section 5840, exclusive of sections 10,905 and subject to roads.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserve, temporarily, under the 19th clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, for a gravel pit, viz.:

No. 1235, in red.—Four acres, more or less, situate in the Christchurch District, bounded on the north-eastward by section 5720; on the south-eastward by the road forming the south-eastern boundary of that section; and on the north-westward by section 12,726.

PROCLAMATION.

WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of Clause 2 of “The Kaiapoi Bridge Ordinance, 1868,” Session XXX., No. 4, do hereby notify that the Bridge lately constructed over the north branch of the River Waimakariri, at Kaiapoi, at or about a part thereof in continuation of the North road is open for public traffic, and that tolls may be levied by Mr. John Bowman for the period of one year and ten months, commencing from the Eighth day of June, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine, at rates not exceeding the sums set forth in the Schedule to the said Ordinance, viz.:

For every horse, ass, or mule ... Threepence.
For every horse, ass, mule, or other beast with pack ... Threepence.
For all horned cattle driven without packs per head ... Twopence.
For every wheeled vehicle drawn by one horse or other beast Sixpence.
For every additional horse or other beast drawing such vehicle Threepence.
For every sheep, lamb, goat, or pig, in one drove, not exceeding 100 ... One Halfpenny.
For every additional sheep, lamb, goat or pig ... One Farthing.

Given under my hand at Christchurch this Fourth day of November, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-nine.
