PROCLAMATION.

I William Rolleston, Superintendent
9 of the Province of Canterbury, in pursuance of a recommendation to that effect
from the Provincial Council, do hereby proclaim the Courtenay Road Board District,
an Agricultural District, in accordance with
“The Trespass of Cattle Ordinance, 1869.”

Given under my hand at Christchurch,
this twenty-second day of October,
One thousand eight hundred and
sixty-nine.

Auctioneer’s Ordinance, Session III.,
No. 3,” I hereby give notice that the undermentioned person has taken out an
Auctioneers’ License for the term ending
30th June, 1870:—

I THE UNDERSIGNED, Edward John
Tite Ford, hereby make application to
register “The Canterbury Hit or Miss Mining Company, Registered,” under the provisions of the Mining Companies Limited
Liability Act, 1865, and I do solemnly and
sincerely declare that the following statement
is, to the best of my belief and knowledge,
true in every particular, namely:—

  1. The name and style of the Company is
    “The Canterbury Hit or Miss Company,
    Registered.”

  2. The place of intended operations is in
    the Ashburton District, and other places
    within the Province of Canterbury.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company
    is three hundred and twenty-five pounds, in
    one hundred and thirty shares of two pounds
    ten shillings each.

  4. The amount already paid up is sixty-five
    pounds.

  5. The name of the Manager is Edward
    John Tite Ford.

  6. The office of the Company is at Colombo street in the City of Christchurch.

  7. The names and several residences of the
    shareholders, and the number of shares held
    by each, at this date, are as follows:—
