PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Ordinance enacted by the Superintendent, and Provincial Council of Canterbury, entitled "The Education Ordinance, Amendment Ordinance, 1865," it is, among other things, provided that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, for the time being, from time to time to change or alter the boundaries of any and every Educational District, proclaimed under the authority of "The Education Ordinance, 1864:"
And whereas on the Sixth day of April, One thousand eight hundred and sixty nine, the Hororata Educational District was proclaimed under the authority of the said Ordinance; and whereas it is desirable to alter the boundaries of the said district:
Now therefore, I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the Province aforesaid do hereby, in pursuance of the powers so vested in me, proclaim that the boundaries of the Hororata Educational District, shall be as follows:
Commencing at the point where the road to the east of section 10,806 touches the River Hororata; thence westerly along such river to its junction with the gully running through section 10,010; thence following such gully south-westerly and westerly to the spot where it again joins the River Hororata; thence westerly along such river to the western boundary of Run 57; thence northerly along such western boundary and easterly along the northern boundary of the same run to the River Wakaepa; thence easterly along such river to the road to the east of section 10,806; thence southerly along such road to the starting point.
Given under my hand at Christchurch this Eleventh day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty nine.

PROCLAMATION.
WHEREAS by an Act of the General Assembly of New Zealand, intituled "The Canterbury Temporary Mining Reserves Act, 1869," it is enacted that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of Canterbury, by proclamation, to temporarily reserve from sale any lands in which he shall have good reason to believe that precious metals exist; provided that no such reservation shall continue in force beyond the end of the Session of the Provincial Council next after the issue of such Proclamation:
Now therefore I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, by virtue of the powers enabling me in that behalf, do hereby temporarily reserve from sale the land described in the Schedule hereto.
