In the Regulation of the Council of the Borough of Timaru, published in Gazette No. XXV., June 10, 1869, in clause I. of Regulation IV., in the ninth line, for “Section No. 785,” read “Section No. 135.”

Edward James Lee, Esq.,
to be the Revising Commissioner to revise the Ratepayers’ Rolls for the several Road Districts of the Province.

His Honor the Deputy-Superintendent directs the publication of the following Bye-Law and Regulations of the Council of the City of Christchurch.

In pursuance of the 181st section of the Municipal Corporations Act, 1867, the Council of the City of Christchurch ordain as follows:—
The provisions contained in part I. of the 13th Schedule of the said Act, sub-sections 1 to 10, both inclusive, are hereby adopted in and for the said City.
The Bye-Laws, or parts of Bye-Laws herein specified, being all the Bye-Laws, or parts of Bye-Laws, or Regulations, heretofore in force in and for the said City of Christchurch, which are inconsistent with, or repugnant to, the said provisions, or in any respect deal, or purport to deal, with the subject matter of the said provisions, are hereby repealed, namely:—
(1.) A Bye-Law made by the Council at a meeting held on the 22nd day of October, 1866, and entitled “Bye-Law, No. 3—Bye-Law for regulating the driving of Cattle within the City of Christchurch.”
(2.) A Bye-Law made by the Council at a meeting held on the 6th day of March, 1867, and entitled “Bye-Law No. 5.—Bye-Law to amend Bye-Law No. 3, for regulating the driving of Cattle within the City of Christchurch.”
(3.) A Bye-Law made by the Council at a meeting held on the 10th day of December, 1866, and entitled “Bye-Law No. 4—Bye-Law Vol. XVI., No. 34.
