(a) This is the balance of a draft for £934 14s. 6d., £921 2s. 5d. of which appeared in the account of "Special Services," as the amount required (with discount), to
recoup the Emigration Fund, the outlay for Special Services during the three quarters ending 30th June. The Draft was (in error) drawn for the larger sum; and
the difference is therefore brought to account in the Emigration statement.
(b) This item includes rent of Offices for the quarter ending 31st March, as well as for that just closed.
(c) This comprises advertising in London papers for the six months ending 30th June, and in a large number of Provincial papers during March, April and May.
