I HEREBY GIVE NOTICE that under Clause 331 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867,” I have appointed
Frederick A. Bishop
to be a Fire Inspector for the City of Christchurch.

HIS Honor the Superintendent, in pursuance of the powers vested in him by “The Public House Ordinance, 1866,” has granted a Conditional License to William Dunford for a house on the North Bank of the Rakaia.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
HIS Honor the Deputy Superintendent directs it to be notified that the Council of the Borough of Kaiapoi having by special order directed that the Tolls specified in the Schedule hereto shall be payable at the Ferry across the north branch of the River Waimakariri during the re-construction of the Kaiapoi Swing Bridge, he has confirmed such order.

Double tolls to be charged between the hours of 10 p.m. and 6 a.m.
Exemptions from the foregoing:—
- Persons going to and from Places of Worship.
- Children going to and from School, having their Teachers’ Ticket.
- Officers of the Borough Council on Council business.
- Magistrates on official business.
- Persons on foot having charge of H. M. mails.
- And such other exemptions as are provided for in clause 304 of “The Municipal Corporations Act, 1867.”
