PROCLAMATION
By William Rolleston, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, in the Colony of New Zealand.
WHEREAS by a Proclamation bearing date the Fifteenth day of October, I, William Rolleston, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, did prorogue the Provincial Council till the Thirteenth day of November, and the said Provincial Council did stand prorogued accordingly:
Now, therefore, I, William Rolleston, the Superintendent as aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in this behalf, do hereby further prorogue the said Provincial Council until Friday, the Twentieth day of November next, on which day I do hereby summon the said Provincial Council to meet for the despatch of business, at the Council Chamber, Christchurch, at Two o’clock in the afternoon.
Given under my hand at Christchurch, this Fourth day of November, in the year of our Lord One thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that Monday next, the 9th instant, being the Anniversary of the Prince of Wales’ Birthday, the Public Offices will be closed on that day.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that Tuesday next, the 10th instant, being the day appointed for the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s Show, the Public Offices will be closed at One o’clock on that day.
