HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the Waste Lands Regulations, viz.;—
No. 954, IN RED.
Sixty-three acres (more or less), situate in Malvern District, commencing on the road at the easternmost corner of section 8023, thence south-westerly, following the south-eastern boundary of that section a distance of 12 chains 5 links, thence south-easterly, following the north-eastern boundary of section 8895, to the road on the north-eastern side of the stream running into the Hororata, thence south-easterly following that road to the road forming the south-eastern boundary of section 10111, thence following the latter road to the road first mentioned, and from thence returning along the same to the commencing point.—For educational purposes.
No. 955, IN RED.
Ten acres (more or less), situate in the Christchurch district, bounded on the north-west by the South road; on the south-west by the road forming the north-eastern boundary of section 12193, and on the north-east by a line at right angles to the road first mentioned, so as to contain the above quantity.—For a gravel pit.
No. 956, IN RED.
Twelve acres (more or less), situate in the Ellesmere District, bounded on the north-west by the Reserve for Southern Railway, on the north-east by section 10179, on the south-east by the road along the Tramway Reserve, and on the south-west by Reserve No. 719, (in red).—For the endowment of a Classical School.

Being sections Nos. 347, 348, 349, 350, 351, 352, 357, 358, 359, 360, 361, 362, 363, 364, and 365, in the township of Ashburton, as the same is set out and described on the Maps of the Chief Surveyor of the Province of Canterbury.—For police purposes.

HIS Honor the Superintendent, in pursuance of certain powers vested in him by “The Empowering Ordinance, Session II, No. 2,” directs it to be notified that the Footpaths hereinafter described having being well and sufficiently made and completed for the use and accommodation of foot passengers, according to the provisions of “The Footpaths Ordinance, Session VII, No. 12,” are hereby declared to be public Footpaths, and from and after the date hereof shall be deemed and taken accordingly to be public footpaths within the meaning of the said Ordinance.
The said Footpaths are as follows:—
Gloucester Street — North side from Madras Street to the East Town Belt.
Gloucester Street — South side from Madras Street to the East Town Belt.
Barbadoes Street — East side from Tuam Street to Armagh Street.
Barbadoes Street — West side from Tuam Street to Armagh Street.
Barbadoes Street — East side from Chester Street to Kilmore Street.
Barbadoes Street — West side from Chester Street to Kilmore Street.
North Town Belt — South side from Montreal Street to the Papanui Road.
North Town Belt — North side from Montreal Street to the Springfield Road.
Peterborough Street — North side from Montreal Street to Antigua Street.
Peterborough Street — South side from Montreal Street to Antigua Street.
Kilmore Street — North side from Montreal Street to Antigua Street.
Kilmore Street — South side from Montreal Street to Antigua Street.
Worcester Street — South side from Latimer Square to the East Town Belt.
South Town Belt — North side from Colombo Street to Antigua Street.
South Town Belt — North side from Madras Street to the Gas Works’ Road.
East Town Belt — West side from the Ferry Road to Armagh Street.
