PROCLAMATION

By His Honor WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Esquire, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury.

WHEREAS on the Twenty-ninth day of August, one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight, I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, did prorogue the Provincial Council of the said Province till the Ninth day of October, one thousand eight hundred and sixty eight, and the said Council did stand prorogued accordingly. And whereas it is expedient still further to prorogue the said Council.

Now therefore I, WILLIAM ROLLESTON, Superintendent as aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, do hereby further prorogue the said Provincial Council until Friday, the Thirtieth day of October, One thousand eight hundred and sixty eight.

Given under my hand this Seventeenth day of September, one thousand eight hundred and sixty-eight.

His Honor the Deputy Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has altered the place of meeting for the Revision of the Ratepayers’ Roll for the Halswell District, from Mr. M. J. Burke’s house to the School-house, Lower Lincoln road.
