In the matter of the Petition of Edward Scrivener of the Ferry-road near Christchurch in the Province of Canterbury timber merchant formerly in partnership with Anthony Knight carrying on business under the style of “Knight and Co.,” a debtor.
NOTICE is hereby given that by a vesting order of the Supreme Court dated the Twenty-ninth day of November 1867 the estate and effects of the said Edward Scrivener were sequestrated and Frederic Henry Melville Walker of Christchurch in the Province aforesaid Accountant was appointed Receiver and Wednesday the Eighteenth day of December next was appointed for the hearing of the said petition and proof of debts at the Court House Christchurch aforesaid at eleven o’clock in the forenoon.

In the matter of the Petition of William Mardon of Christchurch in the said district gentleman lately trading in co-partnership with Jeremiah Jones and Edward McGlashan at Christchurch and Hokitika under the style or firm of “Jones McGlashan and Company” commission agents.
NOTICE is hereby given that by an order of His Honor Mr. Justice Gresson made in these matters on the Twenty-ninth day of November instant the estate of the abovementioned debtor has been sequestrated in pursuance of the above-named Acts and Wednesday the Eighteenth day of December next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon has been appointed for the hearing of such petition and the proofs of debts and claims of creditors at the Court House Christchurch and such order was declared to be a vesting order pursuant to Section VIII of the “Debtors and Creditors Act Amendment Act 1865” and a rule absolute was thereby granted calling upon the said debtor to appear in person before the Court at the time and place aforesaid.
