REMARKS.
CHRISTCHURCH.
The weather was exceedingly fine throughout the month of September; the days warm and sunny, the nights in general clear, and often frosty, particularly at the beginning of the month. Rain fell on three days only; viz., on the afternoon and night of the 7th, and in showers on the 14th and 15th. There was a heavy squall from S.W. on the 3rd, and a very high wind from N.E. on the 15th, on which day 448 miles of wind passed the station.
