PUBLIC NOTICE.
Provincial Secretary’s Office,
Christchurch, July 8, 1867.
HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that the Officer commanding the district having ordered a Divisional Parade of the Volunteer Force under his orders, to take place on Monday next, the 15th instant, to witness the presentation of a district medal and the General Government prizes to the best shots in the Province, the public offices will be closed on that day at one p.m.; and His Honor the Superintendent invites the merchants and tradesmen of the city to grant a half holiday on that day to their employees, so that those who are volunteers may be present on the occasion.

IN accordance with the 18th Clause of the Public House Ordinance, 1866, I hereby give notice that the undermentioned persons having neglected to apply to the Provincial Treasurer, at Christchurch, for the licences granted to them at the Annual Licensing Meeting, held at the Resident Magistrate’s Court, Christchurch, in May last, their licences have been withheld, and referred to His Honor the Superintendent :—
