IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,

In the matter of the “Debtors and Creditors Acts;” and
In the matter of Edward Warre Millett, late of Lake Ellesmere, in the Province of Canterbury, Farmer, a debtor, in custody; and
In the matter of the Petition of the said debtor.

In Chambers:
Tuesday the 14th day of May 1867.

Upon the application of Mr. Harper of counsel for the said petitioner after reading the said petition presented this day purporting to be signed by the said petitioner such debtor in custody as aforesaid and also certain schedules and also an affidavit of the said Edward Warre Millett to the said petition annexed and therewith filed this day pursuant to the said Acts this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition doth hereby appoint Monday the 24th day of June next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon for the hearing of such petition and the proofs of debts and claims of creditors at the Court House at Christchurch aforesaid and doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said Edward Warre Millett and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said Edward Warre Millett shall be taken and held by James Edwin Graham of Christchurch aforesaid Esquire as Receiver under the said Acts hereby appointed by the Court subject to such further order as may be made under or in pursuance of the said Acts and this order is hereby declared to be a vesting order pursuant to section 8 of the “Debtors and Creditors Act Amendment Act 1865.”
