PROCLAMATION.

By His Honor WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Esq., Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, summoning the Provincial Council.

WHEREAS on the 29th day of April last, I, WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury, did prorogue the Provincial Council of the said Province till the 17th day of May instant, and the said Provincial Council did stand prorogued accordingly:

Now, therefore, I, WILLIAM SEFTON MOORHOUSE, Superintendent as aforesaid, in pursuance of the powers vested in me in that behalf, do hereby further prorogue the said Provincial Council until Friday, the 7th day of June next, on which day I do hereby summon the said Provincial Council to meet for the despatch of business, at the Council Chamber, Christchurch, at two o’clock in the afternoon.

Dated at Christchurch, this Tenth day of May, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.

Christchurch, May 9, 1867.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves, temporarily, under the 19th Clause of the Waste Land Regulations;
viz. —

No. 807, in red.— Two hundred acres, more or less, bounded on the north by the road forming the northern boundary of section Nos. 4538 and 4539, and a line in continuation of the southern side thereof; on the east by the road reserved along high-water mark; on the south by the northern boundary of sections 10695 and 10929, and a line extending eastward and westward in continuation of that boundary; and on the west by the aforesaid section No. 4539, for a distance of about twenty-three chains— For a Rifle Range.

No. 808, in red.— Ten acres, more or less, situate in the Ellesmere District, bounded on the northward by section 10707, on the westward by section 10840, on the eastward by the road leading to the first mentioned section, and on the southward by the North Rakaia and Taumutu junction road— For a Gravel Pit.
