that it shall be lawful for the Superintendent of the Province of Canterbury for the time being from time to time to change or alter the boundaries of any and of every Educational District proclaimed under the authority of "The Education Ordinance, 1864."

And whereas, on the Fourth day of March, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-five, the Saltwater Creek Educational District was proclaimed under the authority of the said Ordinance, the boundaries of which district it is desirable to alter:

Now, therefore, I, William Sefton Moorhouse, Superintendent of the Province aforesaid, do hereby, in pursuance of the powers so vested in me, proclaim that the boundaries of the Saltwater Creek Educational District shall be as follows:-

Bounded on the eastward by the sea; on the south by the northern bank of the river Ashley; on the west by the eastern boundary of the Ashley Bank District, as far as the upper Sefton Road; thence following the said road north-easterly to the Road and Railway Reserve; thence following said reserve northerly to the Rangiora and Leithfield Road; thence following the said road as far as the north-east corner of reserve 253, from thence following the southern boundary of the Leithfield District to the sea.

Given under my hand at Christchurch, this First day of May, One thousand eight hundred and sixty-seven.
