SPECIAL REPORT ON THE PROPOSED NEW SCHOOL FOR GIRLS, AND PREPARATORY SCHOOL FOR LITTLE BOYS, AT RANGIORA.
The school-room forms the front and ground floor of the dwelling for the mistress, her husband and family. The two front rooms have been thrown into one. There is a fireplace. The dimensions are about 24 x 14, and the height less than 7 feet, scarcely adequate for the number present (i.e 36).
There was a sufficiency of books, apparatus, desks, &c.
The children were in excellent order as to their arrangement, classification, conduct, and cleanliness.
They are carefully and successfully taught.
A certificate as to the qualifications of the mistress is forwarded herewith.
