SPECIAL REPORT ON THE AVONSIDE SCHOOL,
REMOVED TO NEW SCHOOL-ROOM.
The site adjoins that of Avonside Church, being vested, probably, in the Church Property Trustees.
The new school-room, of about 35 x 18, is apparently well built, not lined, painted on the outside, is well aired and lighted. A blind is much wanted for the large northern window.
The classification and discipline of the children are capable of improvement.
The supply of books is tolerably well kept up.
The attainments of the children in biblical and secular knowledge are but moderate at present.
