(a) DECLARATION.— I, T. W. Bruce, of Corsair Bay, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, 1,500 in number, marked —, now being depastured by me at the Hurunui Crossing, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me at Barnett’s, this 3rd day of December, 1866.— A. RAMSAY SCARVELL, Inspector of Sheep.

Evidence of Robert Campbell corroboration of T. W. Bruce’s declaration for 1,500 sheep from the Cheviot Hills run:— That he is living on the Cheviot Hills run, and that the flock from which these sheep have been drafted have not been scabby for at least two years, and not been dipped during that time.

(b) DECLARATION.— I, Andrew Curie, of Coralynn, do hereby solemnly declare that the Sheep, 1,515 in number, marked —, now being depastured by me at the Hurunui Crossing, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any Sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.

Declared before me at Barnett’s, this 25th day of December, 1866.— A. RAMSAY SCARVELL, Inspector of Sheep.

I certify that the fifteen hundred (1,500) fat wethers that are sold to Macfarlane and Bruce, from the Cheviot Hills, were never dipped, nor ever mixed with scabby sheep.

(c) DECLARATION.— I, Cyril G. Hawdon of Grassmere, do hereby solemnly declare that my Sheep, branded —, being 12,000 in number, now being at Grassmere, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor within three months been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
