in this matter on the Twenty-fourth day of
September last the hearing of the petition
of the above named debtor was adjourned to
Monday the Twelfth day of November next
at eleven o'clock in the forenoon at the
Court House Christchurch.

Upon the application of Dr. Foster of
counsel for the said debtors and after
reading the said petition perused this day
purporting to be signed by the said debtors
and to be concurred in by John Tetly of
Christchurch in the Province of Canterbury
in the Colony of New Zealand Greengrocer
Messieurs Hawkes and Strouts of the same
place Ironmongers William Richardson of
the same place Commission Agent John
Ellsom Brown of the same place Storekeeper
Messieurs Quine and Cain of the same place
Bakers and Charles James Foster of the
same place Solicitor creditors of the said
debtors to the extent of not less than fifty
pounds in the whole and also certain
schedules and also an affidavit of the said
debtors to the said petition annexed and
therewith filed this day pursuant to the said
Acts this Court being satisfied of the truth
of the matters contained in the said petition
doth hereby grant an ad interim order of
sequestration of the joint and separate
estates and effects of the said debtors and
doth direct that the said estates and effects
of the said debtors shall be taken and held
by Henry Fowle Seager of Christchurch
Accountant as Receiver under the said
Acts hereby appointed by the Court
subject to such further order of the Court
as may be made under or in pursuance of
the provisions of the said Acts and this
Court doth further order and direct that the
Receiver hereby appointed shall take and
keep separate accounts of the joint and
separate estates of the said debtors respec
tively And this Court doth hereby appoint
Monday the Twelfth day of November next
at eleven o'clock in the forenoon for the
hearing of the said petition and the proofs
of debts and claims of creditors aforesaid at
the Court House Christchurch and this order
is hereby declared to be a vesting order pur
suant to Section 8 of the said "Debtors and
Creditors Act Amendment Act 1865."
