I HEREBY certify that I have cancelled

the License of DANIEL McGUINNESS,
in accordance with the 19th clause of the

“Public House Ordinance, 1866.”

I, the undersigned CAMILLE MALFROY,

hereby make application to register the

“Totara and Jones Creek Amalgamated
Water Race Company, registered,” under
the provisions of the “Mining Company’s
Limited Liability Act, 1865,” and I do
solemnly and sincerely declare that the fol-
lowing statement is, to the best of my belief
and knowledge, true in every particular;
namely:

  1. The name and style of the Company is
    “The Totara and Jones Creek Amal-
    gamated Water Race Company.”

  2. The place of operation is the Totara
    District.

  3. The nominal capital of the Company is
    £12,800, in 1280 shares of Ten
    Pounds each.

  4. The amount already paid up is £8,400.

  5. The name of the manager is Camille
    Malfroy.

  6. The office of the Company is at Ross.

  7. The names and several residences of
    the shareholders, and the number of
    shares held by each at this date, are

In the matter of the “Debtors and Cre-
ditors Act Amendment Act, 1865;” and

In the matter of William Burnip, of
Kaiapoi, in the said District, lately
carrying on business as Publican at
Kaiapoi aforesaid, now out of business,
a debtor.

NOTICE is hereby given that the estate
of the above mentioned debtor has
been sequestrated by order of His Honor
Mr. Justice Gresson made on the Four-
teenth day of September instant on a peti-
tion filed in this Honorable Court in pur-
suance of the above-named Acts and Mon-
day the Twelfth day of November next at eleven
o’clock in the forenoon has been appointed
for the hearing of such petition at the Court
House Christchurch and such order was
declared to be a vesting order pursuant to
Section 8 of the said “Debtors and Cre-
ditors Act Amendment Act 1865.”

Christchurch, Hatter, a debtor; and

In the matter of the petition of the said
debtor.

IN CHAMBERS:

The 25th day of September, 1866.

UPON the application of Mr. Cottrel,
of Counsel for the said petitioner Fre-
derick Roach after reading the said peti-
tion presented this day purporting to be
signed by the said petitioner such debtor as
aforesaid and to be concurred in by Henry
Moss Thomas Ancell and George Hamilton
Roach of Christchurch aforesaid creditors to
the extent of not less than fifty pounds and
also certain schedules and also an affidavit
to the said petition annexed and therewith
filed this day pursuant to the said Acts

This Court being satisfied of the truth of the
matters contained in the said petition doth
hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestra-
tion of the estate and effects of the said
Frederick Roach and doth direct that the
estate and effects of the said Frederick
Roach shall be taken and held by Henry
Fowle Seager of Christchurch accountant
as Receiver under the said Acts hereby ap-
pointed by the Court subject to such further
order of the Court as may be made under
