(a) DECLARATION.—I, J. S. Meredith, of Ship "King of Italy," hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 500 in number, marked —, now being on board of the vessel "King of Italy," M. S. Meredith, Commander, now lying at Port Lyttelton, in the said Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
Declared before me, at Lyttelton, this 1st day of February, 1866.—WILLIAM PALFREY, Inspector of Sheep.

(b) DECLARATION.—I, E. S. Dalgety, of Christchurch, do hereby solemnly declare that the sheep, 10 in number, marked —, now on board of the vessel "Lord Ashley," Worsp, Commander, now lying at Lyttelton, in the said Province, have not within three months last past had applied to any of them any reputed scab-destroying preparation, nor been mixed with any sheep infected with scab or catarrh; and I make this solemn declaration, conscientiously believing the same to be true.
