PURSUANT to the provisions of the “Auctioneers’ Ordinance, Session III. No. 3,” I hereby give notice that the undermentioned person has this day taken out an Auctioneer’s License for the term ending 30th June, 1866:--

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Debtors and Creditors Act, 1862;” and

In the matter of “The Debtors and Creditors Act Amendment Act, 1865;” and

In the matter of the estate of Benjamin Lyons and Albert Napthali Prince, trading at Greymouth, in the Westland district of the colony of New Zealand, as General Storekeepers, under the style or firm of Lyons and Prince, but at present residing in the city of Christchurch, in the Canterbury district of the said colony of New Zealand, debtors, not in custody; and

In the matter of the Petition of the said debtors.

IN CHAMBERS:

Tuesday, the sixth day of March 1866.

UPON the application of Mr. Garrick of Counsel for the said petitioners Benjamin Lyons and Albert Napthali Prince after reading the petition purporting to be signed by them the said petitioners such debtors as aforesaid and to be concurred in by Ralph Levy of Dunedin in the Province of Otago in the said colony of New Zealand importer and general dealer a creditor to the extent of not less than fifty pounds in the whole and also certain schedules and also an affidavit to the said petition annexed and therewith filed on the sixth day of March instant pursuant to the said Acts. This Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said Benjamin Lyons and Albert Napthali Prince and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said Benjamin Lyons and Albert Napthali Prince shall be taken and held by Edward Hardcastle of Greymouth aforesaid as receiver under the said Acts hereby appointed by the Court subject to such further order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the provisions of the said Acts. And this Court doth hereby appoint Wednesday the second day of May next at Eleven o’clock in the Forenoon for the hearing of such petition and the proof of debts and claims of creditors at the Courthouse Christchurch aforesaid. And this order is hereby declared to be a vesting order pursuant to section VIII. of the said Debtors and Creditors Act Amendment Act 1865.
