THE uses of Reserve No. 441, in the Town of Hokitika, made by His Honor the Superintendent, upon the recommendation of the Provincial Council, having been erroneously described in the Provincial Government Gazette, No. XII, dated 8th February, 1866, that Reserve is re-Gazetted:—

No. 441, in red.—Two acres one rood sixteen perches, more or less, situate in the town of Hokitika, being bounded on the west by Sewell-street; on the south by Weld-street; and on the north and north-east by Fitz-Gerald-street—For the uses of the Provincial Government, and particularly for Police purposes.

This appointment to be deemed to be provisional only until the same shall have been confirmed and allowed by the Governor.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that, in pursuance and exercise of the powers delegated to him by His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, under and by virtue of “The Gold Fields Act, 1862,” and “The Gold Fields Act Amendment Act, 1863,” he has appointed

MATTHEW PRICE, Esq.,
to be a Warden on the West Canterbury Gold Field.

to be Inspector of Slaughter Houses for the district of Hokitika north, and the district of Hokitika south; and

CONSTABLE HENRY HARSTSTONGE PERY,
to be Inspector of Slaughter Houses for the district of Greymouth.
