VICTORIA by the grace of God of the
United Kingdom of Great Britain and
Ireland Queen to James Duke Iance
of Heathstock in the Canterbury District
of the Colony of New Zealand stock-
owner and Joseph Palmer of Christ-
church in the said District manager of
the Union Bank of Australia.

WHEREAS an action is now pending in
our Supreme Court of New Zealand
in the Canterbury District between Edmund
Simmonds Dalgety George Buckley and
James Rattray trading in the Province of
Canterbury in the District and Colony afore-
said as merchants and partners under the
style or firm of Dalgety Buckley and
Company plaintiffs and John Willoughby
Mallock late of Heathstock Station in the
District and Colony aforesaid stockowner
defendant and in order that the plaintiffs
may proceed in the said action we command
you that you do retain and keep all and
singular the monies and chattels bills bonds
and other property of whatsoever nature in
the custody or under the control of you or
either of you at the time of the service of
this writ belonging to the above-named John
Willoughby Mallock or to or in which he
shall at that time be legally or equitably
entitled or otherwise beneficially interested
and all debts of every kind then due by you
to the said John Willoughby Mallock

although the same or part thereof may be
payable only at a future day And we fur-
ther command you that you in your own
proper persons be and appear before our
said Court or a Judge thereof sitting in
Chambers at Christchurch aforesaid on
Tuesday the Twenty-first day of November
next at eleven o’clock in the forenoon then
and there to be examined touching the
premises and to do and receive what shall
then and there be considered of you in that
behalf and this you shall in no wise omit.
