PUBLIC NOTICE.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that Thursday, the 16th
instant, being the day appointed for the
Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s General Exhibition, will be
observed as a Holiday, and that the Public
Offices will be closed on that day.

NOTICE.

SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,

CANTERBURY DISTRICT.

In the matter of the “Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862,” (section 8).

HIS Honor Henry Barnes Gresson,
Esq., the Judge presiding in this
Honorable Court, has appointed that the
Court shall sit, for the despatch of business
accruing under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, at the Court House, Christchurch, on Monday, the Eighteenth day of
December next, at eleven o’clock in the
forenoon.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that he has given his assent to the following alteration in Clause V
of the By-Laws of the Lyttelton Municipal
Council, as published in the Provincial
Government Gazette, No. XVII, April 23,
1864:—

After the word “mark,” in the sixth line,
the words “or other place or places as
may from time to time be named by
the Council” be added; and that the
figures “11 p.m. and 6 a.m.” be inserted, in lieu of “10 p.m. and 7 a.m.”
