Land Reserve and Legal Notices

Christchurch, Sept. 20, 1865.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs
it to be notified that he has made the
following Reserve, temporarily, under the
19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations;
viz.—

No. 466, in red.—Fifty acres, more or
less, in the Timaru District, having
frontage of twelve and a half chains
to the road forming the north-eastern
boundary of section 7319, and extending back south-westerly a distance
of forty chains, in a rectangular
block; being bounded on the south-
eastward by the road forming the
north-western boundary of the before
mentioned section 7319—for the uses
of the Provincial Government and
other public purposes.

IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.

In the matter of “The Debtors’ and Cre-
ditors’ Act, 1862;” and
In the matter of the Estate of Joseph
Foster, formerly of Okain’s Bay, in the
Province of Canterbury, Storekeeper,
but now of Lyttelton, Mariner, a
debtor, not in custody; and,
In the matter of the Petition of the said
debtor.

NOTICE is hereby given that the Court
hath appointed Tuesday, the Tenth
day of October next, at eleven o’clock in the
forenoon, at the Supreme Court House, in
the City of Christchurch, for the hearing of
the said petition, and for the proof of debts
and claims of creditors.

In the matter of Westby Hawkshaw Per-
cival, of Rangiora, in the said District,
Mail Contractor, a debtor.

NOTICE is hereby given that the estate
of the above mentioned person has
been sequestrated by order of his Honor
Mr Justice Gresson, made on the Nineteenth
day of September instant, on a petition filed
in this Honorable Court in pursuance of the
above named Act; and Tuesday, the Tenth
day of October next, at eleven o’clock in the
forenoon, has been appointed for the hearing
of such petition, at the Court House, Christchurch.

NOTICE is hereby given that, in pursuance of “The Public-house Ordinance, 1863,” the Quarterly Meeting of Her
Majesty’s Justices of the Peace in and for
the Colony of New Zealand will be held at
the Resident Magistrates’ Courts at Christ-
church, Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, and
Akaroa, on Tuesday, the Third day of Octo-
ber next, at the hour of eleven o’clock in
the forenoon, for the purpose of taking into
consideration applications for Public-house
Licences for the districts of Christchurch,
Lyttelton, Kaiapoi, Timaru, and Akaroa.
