doth direct that the estate and effects of the
said Edward Goodacre be taken and held
by Henry Fowle Seager of Christchurch
printer as Receiver under the said Act
hereby appointed by the Court subject to
such further order of the Court as may be
made under or in pursuance of the said Act.
And this Court doth hereby appoint Monday the Fifteenth day of May next at eleven
o’clock in the forenoon at the Court-house,
Christchurch for the hearing of the said
petition and the proof of debts and claims
of creditors. And this Court doth hereby
grant a rule absolute calling upon the said
debtor Edward Goodacre to appear in person before the Court in the said place
appointed for hearing of the petition and
afterwards at such time and from time to
time as the Court shall think fit in order
that such proceedings shall be taken as are
in and by the said Act provided.

In the matter of the Petition of Louis Edward Nathan Maurice Harris and Hyam Marks, carrying on business as “L. E. Nathan and Company,” creditors of the said debtor.
At a sitting of the said Court pursuant to the said Act, on Monday, the 22nd day of May, 1865.
UPON reading the order made herein on the Seventeenth day of March last past and hearing Mr. Cowlishaw of Counsel for the said petitioners and Mr. Cowlishaw having undertaken to satisfy the Court by an affidavit that the said Edward Goodacre wilfully evades service of the said order upon him, the Court doth order that the hearing of the said petition be adjourned until the Fifth day of July next and that before the said Fifth day of July a meeting of the creditors of the said debtor shall be convened for the purpose of recommending to the Court a person or persons to act as trustee or trustees of the said debtor’s estate.
