HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that, in pursuance and
exercise of the powers delegated to him by
His Excellency the Governor of New Zealand, under and by virtue of “The Gold
Fields Act, 1862,” and “The Gold Fields
Act Amendment Act, 1863,” he has appointed
CHARLES COCKBURN SCHAW, Esq.,
to be a Warden on the West Canterbury
Gold Field.
This appointment to be deemed to be provisional only until the same shall have been
confirmed and allowed by the Governor.

Upon reading the rule nisi herein bearing
date the Tenth day of March instant
and upon hearing Mr. Garrick of Counsel for
the said petitioning creditors and Mr. Moorhouse of Counsel for the said Edward Goodacre it is ordered that the said rule nisi be
and the same is hereby made absolute and
accordingly this Court being satisfied of the
truth of the matters contained in the said
petition doth hereby grant an ad interim
order of sequestration of the estate and
effects of the said Edward Goodacre and
