Christchurch, March 21, 1865.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserves temporarily under the 19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations, for the purposes of the construction of a tramway, viz:

No. 881, in red.—Seventy-five acres, more or less, situate in the Ellesmere district, commencing at a point on the high bank of the old river-bed forming the south-western boundary of section 7270, the same being seventy-five links west of the southernmost corner of that section; thence following a line bearing south 22° west (mag.) a distance of twenty-six chains seventy-five links; thence at a right angle north-westerly a distance of forty chains; thence again at a right angle north-easterly to the high bank before mentioned; and from thence returning along the same to the commencing point, exclusive of reserve No. 815, and also tramway reserves Nos. 297 and 208.

In the matter of “The Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862;” and
In the matter of the Estate of Walter Gee, a debtor; and
In the matter of the Petition of the said Debtor.

IN CHAMBERS:

This 25th day of March, 1865.

UPON the application of Dr. Foster of Counsel for the said petitioner Walter Gee, after reading the said petition purporting to be signed by the said petitioner such debtor as aforesaid and to be concurred in by Thomas Gee of Christchurch, Confectioner, a creditor to the extent of not less than fifty pounds in the whole, and also certain schedules and also an affidavit to the said petition annexed and therewith filed this day pursuant to the said Act, this Court being satisfied of the truth of the matters contained in the said petition doth hereby grant an ad interim order of sequestration of the estate and effects of the said Walter Gee and doth direct that the estate and effects of the said Walter Gee shall be taken and held by Henry Fowle Seager of Christchurch, printer, as Receiver under the said Act, hereby appointed by the Court, subject to such further order of the Court as may be made under or in pursuance of the provisions of the said Act: And this Court doth hereby appoint Monday, the Fifteenth day of May next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, for the hearing of such petition and the proofs of debts and claims of creditors at the Court House, Christchurch aforesaid. And this Court doth also further order and grant an ad interim order of protection to protect the person and estate of the said Walter Gee from arrest, execution or other legal process until further order of the Court.
