Mr. GEORGE ALLAN READE
to be Clerk to the Waste Land Board, vice
Mr. C. P. Soulsby.
The appointment to date from the 10th instant.

Mr. RICHARD SEYMOUR KELLY
to be a Draughtsman in the Survey Department, vice Mr. G. A. Reade.
The appointment to date from the 10th instant.

PUBLIC NOTICE.
His Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified for general information that the streets and public reserves in the proposed township of Selwyn having been conveyed to the Superintendent, the block of land hereinafter described will be marked on the maps of the Chief Surveyor as the
“Township of Selwyn.”
The block of land above referred to situate on the southern bank of the River Selwyn, commencing at a point on the south side of the Selwyn and Lake Road, the same being the north-eastern corner of section 4105; thence south-westerly following a line at an angle of 50°54' with the said road a distance of twenty-one chains; thence southerly following a line at right angles to the before-mentioned road a distance of six chains forty links; thence westerly at a right angle a distance of forty-three chains forty links; thence northerly at a right angle a distance of thirty-seven chains seventy-five links; thence easterly at a right angle a distance of fourteen chains fifty-one links to the southern bank of the River Selwyn; following easterly along that bank to an overflow channel of the same river a distance measured in a straight line of thirty-two chains thirty links; thence south-easterly following a straight line a distance of eighteen chains fifteen links to a point on the Selwyn and Lake Road before mentioned; the same being four chains and thirty links north-east of the commencing point. This block is contained within rural sections numbered 4111, 4112, 4105, 4383, 4516, 7107, 7004, and 7365.
