Commissioners, dated February 6th, 1864,
being the centre of this Reserve; subject to
the said line of Railway, freehold land, and
roads.
No. 294, in red.—Two thousand five hundred
and sixty acres, more or less, having
frontage of 2 miles and 8 chains to the
northern bank of the Waitangi river, and
running back northerly a distance on the
average of 2 miles, the line of Railway 3
chains wide, as indicated on the plan of the
Railway Commissioners, dated February 6th,
1864, being the centre of this Reserve; subject to the said line of Railway, freehold land, and roads.
No. 292, in red.—Forty chains in width on
each side of the Railway Reserve, of 3
chains wide through the unsold land to this
date on the line of the South Railway from
Christchurch to the Waitangi, as indicated
on the plans of the Railway Commissioners,
signed by the Chairman of the Commission,
Mr. Cass, February 6th, 1864, subject to the
roads.

Extending Limits for Port of Lyttelton.
By His Excellency Sir George Grey,
Knight, Commander of the Most
Honorable Order of the Bath, Governor
and Commander-in-Chief in and over
Her Majesty’s Colony of New Zealand
and its dependencies, and Vice-
Admiral of the same, &c., &c.
In exercise of the power in me for this
purpose, vested by the “Custom’s
Regulations, October, 1858,” I, Sir George
Grey, the Governor of the Colony of New
Zealand, do hereby appoint, that on and from
the day of the date hereof, the limits of the
Port of Lyttelton, as appointed by orders
given under my hand at Auckland, on the
Seventh day of June, and the Twenty-third
day of October, One thousand eight hundred
and sixty-two, Nos. 24 and 38, shall
further include the tract lying within the
Southern boundary line of the Lyttelton
and Christchurch Railway, including the
Station Grounds in the Heathcote Valley
and at Christchurch; the city of Christchurch, together with the Town Reserves;
the Christchurch and Ferry Mead Road to
the Heathcote Bridge, and the Road thence
up the Heathcote Valley to the Station there.
Given under my hand at Government
House, at Auckland, this Twelfth
day of January, One thousand
eight hundred and sixty-four.
