PUBLIC NOTICE.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that Wednesday, the 16th instant, being the day appointed for the Canterbury Agricultural and Pastoral Association’s General Exhibition, will be observed as a Holiday, and that the Public Offices will be closed on that day.

HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has made the following Reserve, temporarily, under the 18th clause of the Waste Land Regulations, for the purposes of a Railway Station; viz.—
No. 373, in red.—Eleven acres one rood in the Christchurch District, bounded on the north-westward by the Railway Reserve, on the south-west by section 7416, and on the south-east by the South Road.

In pursuance of the 59th Section of the “Roads Ordinance, 1864,” His Honor the Superintendent has been pleased to appoint the following times and places for the election of Road Boards in the undermentioned Road Districts:—
Cust District—Messent’s Accommodation House: Tuesday, 22nd November, 1864.
Pigeon Bay District—Mr. Fitzgerald’s House: Tuesday, 22nd November, 1864.
Okain’s Bay District—School House: Tuesday, 22nd November, 1864.
Levels District—Court House, Timaru: Tuesday, 22nd November, 1864.
