HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it to be notified that he has appointed

Mr. William Palfrey

to be an Inspector of Sheep, under “The Sheep Ordinance, 1864.”

The appointment to date from the 1st of October.

Fifteenth day of August last, the further hearing of the under mentioned petition matters was adjourned to Tuesday, the Fifteenth day of November next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, at the Court House, Christchurch:—

Duncan Macpherson Scott, of the South Road, in the said District, Clerk to the West Avon Road Board.

Christopher Swinbourne, of Rangiora, in the said District, Publican.

Alexander Dallas, Christchurch, Refreshment License.

John Johnson Lor..., Leeston, Conditional License; granted conditionally on the house being finished in one month.

William Gosnell and Edward McDermott, Christchurch, General License.

“Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862.”

NOTICE is hereby given that the estates of the undermentioned persons have been sequestrated, by order of His Honor Mr. Justice Gresson, made on the Second day of August last, on petitions filed in this Honorable Court in pursuance of the abovementioned Act; and Tuesday, the Fifteenth day of November next, at eleven o’clock in the forenoon, has been appointed for the hearing of the matters of such petitions at the Court House, Christchurch:—

George Crawford Black, of Kaiapoi, in the aforesaid District, Storekeeper, a debtor, not in custody.

Thomas McKenzie, of the Lower Lincoln Road, in the said District, Farmer, a debtor, not in custody.
