HIS Honor the Superintendent directs it
to be notified that he has made the
following Reserves, temporarily, under the
19th clause of the Waste Land Regulations;

viz.—

No. 348, in red.—Reserve for line of
tramway, one chain wide, commencing at a point opposite to the southern
bank of Tai Tapu, opposite to the
present road and railway reserve,
leading to Little River, passing in a
south-easterly direction near to the
edge of the Hills, by Ahuriri, Archie’s
Point, Kaituna, and Waikoka; thence
in a northerly direction, by the
western edge of Lake Forsyth, to the
road on the western side of the
native reserve at Little River, following along the said road until it meets
the road and railway reserve before
mentioned, and more particularly
delineated and described on the map
of the Chief Surveyor: Subject,
nevertheless, to roads, freehold sections, pre-emptive rights, and the
road and railway reserve before
mentioned.

Making Quarantine Regulations for the Colony
of New Zealand.

At the Government House at Auckland, the
Twelfth day of January, 1864.

Present:

HIS EXCELLENCY THE GOVERNOR IN COUNCIL.

In pursuance and in exercise of the powers
vested in the Governor in Council by the
“Marine Board Act, 1863,” His Excellency the Governor, with the advice and
consent of the Executive Council of New
Zealand, doth hereby approve of the following Quarantine Regulations, made and issued
by the Marine Board for the several Ports
and Harbours in the Colony of New Zealand,
and doth declare that the same shall be in
force from and after the Twelfth day of
January, 1864.

QUARANTINE REGULATIONS.

  1. The Master of every vessel which shall
    be deemed by the Harbour Master to be
    liable to Quarantine, shall, on being directed
    so to do by the Harbour Master, cause such
    vessel to be anchored in the Quarantine
    Ground appointed for the Harbour, or forfeit
    the sum of £50 for every day, or portion of
    a day, during which he shall neglect or
    refuse so to do.
