IN THE SUPREME COURT OF NEW ZEALAND,
CANTERBURY DISTRICT.
In the matter of "The Debtors’ and Creditors’ Act, 1862;" and
In the matter of the Estate of William Merritt, a debtor; and
In the matter of the Petition of the said William Merritt.
At a sitting of the Court under the Act.
The Eighteenth day of May, 1864.
UPON the application of Mr. Slater of Counsel for the said petitioner, and reading the order of the Sixteenth of February last, it appearing to the Court that the said debtor is undergoing imprisonment for twelve calendar months, from the first day of March last, pursuant to a sentence of the Circuit Court: this Court doth order that the hearing of the said petition be further adjourned until the first day of sitting of the Court under the said Act.

HIS Honor Henry Barnes Gresson, Esq., the Judge presiding in this Honorable Court, has appointed that the Court shall sit for the despatch of business, accruing under the provisions of the above-mentioned Act, at the Town Hall, Christchurch, on Monday, the Fifteenth day of August next, at Eleven o’clock in the forenoon.
